Kalo Ampeli-18
Presence takes root. On a quiet edge of Serifos, there is Kenkonsan, Oneness Mountain. Named by Zen master Koten Roshi, it embodies the meeting of Heaven, Earth and Mountain, and serves as a quiet reminder of unity. This balance of elements is the essence of Καλό, αμπέλι, a place shaped by land, wind and stone.
Kalo Ampeli-14
We built with what was here: the roughness of rock, the memory of homes, the breath of the sea. We planted with patience: a vineyard that listens to the soil, a monastery that practices stillness, dwellings that flow rather than impose. Each gesture seeks to protect what surrounds it: the hillside, the species, the spirit of the island. Through regenerative cultivation, careful restoration and mindful architecture, Καλό, αμπέλι grows as a small, living ecosystem, sheltering nature, supporting community, sustaining itself with respect and restraint. Here, organic is embraced as a way of living. Presence and protection coexist. Slow living becomes care. Care becomes continuity. A meeting of mountain and sea, of humans and land.
Kalo Ampeli-19
This balance of elements is the essence of Καλό, αμπέλι, a place shaped by land, wind and stone. A circular estate Καλό, αμπέλι was designed more like an ecosystem rather than a destination. A constellation of dwellings, vineyard and monastery, each contributing to the whole.
Bridge in Kalo Ampeli
Its vision is to create a place that offers clarity to its guests while preserving clarity for the island: protecting its landscapes, traditions and cultural memory.
Zen – Monk
The cycles of the land define the cycles of the project. The vineyard supports both hospitality and the maintenance of the ecosystem. Revenue from stays is reinvested in the restoration of structures, the protection of nature, and the continuation of the Zen monastery. Waste is minimized, resources are reused, and every intervention is measured against its impact on the land and the community.
Kalo Ampeli – Outdoor
In the long run, Καλό, αμπέλι aspires to regenerate the land, to host mindful hospitality that does not consume more than it gives back, and to weave together nature, architecture and community in a self-sustaining “universe”.
